to children and adults within their own home, working
with issues around grief and loss. Later Supervision
training leading to supervision of other volunteers.
Checkpoint (Children's Society) Working in outreach
destinations such as GP surgeries and Brixham Youth
Enquiry offering 1 - 1 counselling to young adults
with varying issues from bullying, abuse, alcohol
& drug use to relationships.

My
working background has been in health and social care
to include care of the elderly frail, and people of
all ages with a disability. presently I work with
people who have disabilities one day a week.
I trained in Gestalt; Person centered counselling,
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Sand Play Therapy.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling
and Psychotherapy and work to their code of ethics.
I have been counselling since 2001, beginning with
bereavement, moving on to working with groups, adults
and young adults exploring issues such as anger, self
esteem, anxiety and confidence.
I worked voluntarily as a counsellor for adults &
children and a then a supervisor with Cruse Bereavement
Care for eight years.
In 2010/11 I Project Managaged a new organisation
and small charity called Children and Families in
Grief - supporting families who were experiencing
a significant loss through bereavment.
I also am employed by Torbay care trust supporting
carers, within the carers emotional support scheme
as one of the Practicioners.
I also have a private practice where I offer counselling,
supervision and training service.
I believe in continuing my own development in all
areas of life and attend therapy, workshops and courses
which keeps my way of working fresh and current.
